IB has advised that the Pilot strike for April 30 has been cancelled. However, IB is unable to reinstate flights for April 30. Due to predicted severe weather in the DFW area on April 15 we are allowing through or connecting DFW customers the ability to make same day changes to their flights as listed below. This policy does not apply to customers originating in DFW. Again, this policy is only for through or connecting customers scheduled to depart April 15. Should the customer desire to make changes, please attempt to reroute them through alternate hubs of ORD, MIA or JFK.

American Airlines has been advised that due to the diversion and aircraft that need to be inspected for any damage, significant cancellations have been processed; however there are many flights that are awaiting a decision. Customers are encouraged to check flight status on AA.com prior to departing for the airport as this is the most updated information.

IB is in the process of reinstating the flights that were cancelled and hopes to have them reopened for sell shortly. Iberia Strike Dates

American has been advised that the Spanish SEPLA airline pilots union that represents Iberia pilots have announced a series of 24 one day strikes, March 16, 19, 23, 25, 26, 30, 2012 and April 2, 4, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30, 2012 and May 2, 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 2012. Please reassure customers that at this time Iberia has not cancelled any flights. We will keep you updated as additional information is known.

During our normal schedule update on February 19, 2012, reservations booked by Sabre Subscribers may have incorrect departure and arrival times compared to what was actually booked when Sabre returned the information back to American Airlines. We are aware of the situation and are in the process of reviewing all reservations to ensure valid minimum connection times. Please review your schedule change queues to ensure customer acceptance of the new itinerary updated by American or if the new itinerary is unacceptable please follow the schedule change procedures.
