*Basic Economy fare tickets bought on or after 12:00 a.m. CT on December 17, 2025 will not earn AAdvantage® miles or Loyalty Points. Basic Economy fare tickets bought on or before 11:59 p.m. CT on December 16, 2025 earn 2 AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points per dollar spent.
If you book a flight marketed by American (AA flight number) and operated by Iberia, you earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points based on American's earning chart.
Some fares may earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points based on a percentage of the distance flown instead of ticket price. This applies to special fares and situations where ticket or fare details aren’t available when your flight is posted.
